Hello there!
About Me
I’m Ken Yau, a UX/UI designer, front-end developer, and visual artist with a passion for creating engaging digital experiences and storytelling through photography and design. My work spans across product design, web development, photography, 3D rendering, and painting, reflecting my deep interest in both technology and creativity.
My Journey Into Design & Creativity
Born in Hong Kong and raised in Edmonton, I’ve always been drawn to visual storytelling. My creative journey started with illustration and painting, which later evolved into graphic design, filmmaking, and digital media. With a background in education, I spent years teaching graphic design and media arts, helping students explore their own creative potential. Now, I focus on bringing intuitive and aesthetically compelling experiences to the digital space through UX/UI design and front-end development.
What I Do
I bridge the gap between design and technology, crafting seamless user experiences while exploring artistic storytelling. My work includes:
🖥️ UX/UI & Front-End Development – Designing and building responsive, user-friendly digital experiences.
📸 Photography – Capturing moments with a cinematic and documentary approach.
🎨 3D & Visual Art – Experimenting with Blender for 3D modeling, digital paintings, and creative concepts.
💡 Creative Experiments – Constantly exploring new tools, techniques, and mediums.
How I Work
I approach every project with a mix of design thinking, problem-solving, and artistic vision. Whether designing a user-friendly interface, building an interactive front-end experience, or capturing a compelling photo, I aim to create work that feels both functional and emotionally engaging.
